Lookout Mountain - SVBC begins the trail realignment today with Trail Dynamics - thanks IMBA and USFS for the help.

It's going to be sooooo amazing to have a trail on the west side of Lookout Mountain (pictured below). The views up into the North River Watershed and into one of the largest roadless areas on the east coast are breathtaking. The natural terrain is INCREDIBLE- rock cliffs, huge school bus size slabs with great black bear and rattlesnake habitat.

Cheers to Harrisonburg's ever improving IMBA EPIC Ride Center Trail System!

Stokesville Lodge and the DCMTB Stokesville Douthat trail weekend

Shenandoah Mountain Touring is running their first trip out of the
Stokesville Lodge this weekend. We are very excited to be hosting the
DCMTB Team on an amazing singletrack tour bicycling from the
Stokesville Lodge to Douthat State Park.
This picturesque Lodge is situated right in the epicenter of the
Harrisonburg IMBA Ride Center trail system. The A-Frame is nestled up
against the mountains adjacent to the Stokesville Campground and the
famous Shenandoah Mountain 100 Backcountry Singletrack route.
Contact Shenandoah.mountain.touring@gmail.com to inquire about ways
you can experience amazing adventures from this location.

Dragon's Tale 2012 - SOOOO GOOD!

We hope everyone had a really good time. Yes, the event might be the shortest one we put on, but it is the most challenging and rewarding event mile per mile as compared to our other events. A FULL ON mental and physical challenge.

Here is a link to the 2012 RESULTS (yes, it is an XLS file posted on our website with 3 tabs at the bottom)

We had a chance to upload 2 raw clips on facebook today while cleaning up the event supplies.
Check them out... good times!!
